Pleased to announce that Nerdy Pup Games' next tabletop rpg, Rebels of the Outlaw Wastes, is now in open playtesting!

I've been working on this system and setting for several years, and had to backburner it a time or two, but all the pieces have finally fallen together. I'm really proud of the core rules. The game plays fast and combines the old school satisfaction of big ol' handfuls of dice with the clarity and flow of contemporary systems of like FitD and PbtA.  In early playtests, I got to watch the game succeed again and again at inviting players to be weird and creative with problem-solving and storytelling. I'm excited to see what folks do with it now that it is in the wild!

It was a real treat to work with Banana Chan as the lead writer for the game. They helped shape the voice of the rules document and added a bunch of bonkers content that you can drop into the world you create. Artwork for the game is by Alessandra Rostagnotto, an amazing Italian comics creator who loves all things 90s. Alessandra took a lot of vague ideas from me and created some spectacular, memorable characters and scenes.
