The Curse of the House of Rookwood is set in a world of shadows and monsters, in which a family struggles with very real personal conflicts while facing supernatural horrors. The Rookwoods are presented as a privileged family, and privilege comes at a cost. We inherit the mistakes of our ancestors, and for good or ill they shape the world we live in. For the Rookwoods, the evils of the past manifest in the tangible form of Curses, which reveal themselves as family members partake in the privileges of their bloodline, their Gifts.

Rookwood Roots is a collection of scenarios set in many different times and places, written by designers from a wide variety of backgrounds, nationalities, and perspectives. Each scenario is a unique vision of the Rookwood family that you can use as a starting point for your campaign. Included are sixteen scenarios, as well as new Skeletons and Curses that can be used in any setting. The collection sheds light on a tiny sliver of the many possible worlds you could explore. We hope you take inspiration from our contributors and create your own dark realms to haunt.

Rookwood Roots is an expansion for the core rulebook, The Curse of the House of Rookwood, and is intended for use with the core rules.
